Nottingham Girls' Academy

PSHE

We deliver PSHE through assemblies, tutor time and drop-down days, as well as across the taught curriculum and through extra-curricular opportunities and events. Our programme covers all the statutory RSE curriculum. Under ‘relationships’ we consider personal, local and global relationships.

Our programme has been developed with the local PSHE Coordinator and resources from the PSHE Association. As well as covering all statutory content, we aim to ensure the curriculum is flexible enough to respond to local and global events.

The academy is a member of Nottingham Citizens (the local branch of Citizens UK) and pupils are encouraged to act together for power, social justice and the common good.

The academy has also been awarded the quality label for its work with eTwinning for the last few years. This is an online platform for pupils to communicate, collaborate, develop projects and share with other pupils across Europe.
